You've been dreaming of this cruise! Meeting your fellow detectives for a congress on the Majestic, a luxurious cruise ship, and enjoying the calm of the sea - and the spa - while talking about your latest achievements with the ones who share your passion for investigation: could you think of a better vacation?
But, this is not the 'Love Boat'
While you've already been sailing for a few days, a passenger is found dead in the luxury suite he/she occupied on board. Only the twelve passengers of the VIP cabins on the upper deck had access to the suite... One of them is most certainly guilty, unless it was a suicide or a stupid accident!
This is the opportunity for you and your friends to challenge your detective instincts: all of you bet on solving the investigation and discovering the circumstances of the crime before reaching port.
Who is guilty? What was the motive?
How did the victim die?
These are the 3 questions you will have to answer.
It's up to you to snoop around the ship and question the suspects.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the progress of the other investigators!
About the gameplay
→ Choose one of the investigations and discover its background through an immersive and narrative description, delivering to all the investigators some starting leads...
→ Use your action points to move around, inspect the different places or question the 12 suspects about their alibi, testimony or potential motive.
In competitive mode, keep a lead secret or reveal it to get back 1 action point, or even steal an important information from a colleague. In cooperative mode, investigate discreetly on your own, while giving the others an indication of the value of the leads you got.
→ As you go along, leads emerge: clues, rumors, contradictions, revelations. Good observation of the actions of the other investigators will also help you progress.
→ With each new round, an Event card moves the purser, who opposes your unofficial investigation! It can also move the ship forward or slightly impact life on board.
→ If the ship reaches its destination or if a player claims that he/she wants to make disclosures, each player will be able to hypothesize for the three investigation elements: culprit, motive, cause of death.
